Description
The MISC Annual Wine & Cheese Night is the event that has the most heritage with the MIS Club. It has been hosted almost every year since the club's inception. This event brings together the best and brightest students who have a keen interest in what MIS is and what value it brings to employers and industry professionals who are willing to share their insight and meet the best minds that University of Alberta has to offer.
This night is really the first step for most students into meeting that first contact in industry and getting first hand feedback on what life could be like after graduation. With almost a 1-to-1 ratio between students and alumni/professionals the connections built here could lead to that next job or even just expanding that network.
The agenda for the evening is typically a keynote speaker speaks about leadership, and or current trends in IT, followed by networking and socializing with hors d'oeuvres and wine in typical cocktail party style.
